I found a can of dry lubricant made by Blaster which has Teflon in it.
I used this same stuff with impressive results. It worked for the whole season. Definitely should've used some more before launching this year

Krytox is the factory recommended lubricant for the convertable hardtop on Mercedes SL and also on Nissan 350Z convertible top. Maybe both manufactures know something about lubricants?

But what do they know about mast tracks? :stir:

Teflon® is a Dupont trade name and will always be a Dupont invention. However, the Patent Protection wore off and now PTFE is used.

It was accidentally discovered during the Production of Freon®.

The use of Flurocarbons has expanded greatly.

So any use of a lubricant with PTFE is ok, but the newest Krytox® is perhaps the best on the market.

This stuff is $300 for a 1lb tub!
If you knew the process you would understand why :yikes::yikes:

$22.39 for a 1/2 oz tube at Amazon. A little goes a long way.
:plus::plus:
but the key is...
"A Little Dab will Do you"

Thus the Spray would last for years!

You've mistaken my meaning of "capitalist".
Doesn't capitalism require a democracy? At least at the state level, perhaps not within business organizations.
I believe however in this case, spending more (for the Krytox) likely won't get you any better performance. Sailkote is great stuff and really works well.
