I receive "Sail" every month, read it cover to to cover, then pass it along. I agree, the publication has jumped the shark. I have Zero interest in sailboat racing and multimillion dollar megayachts, but it is their ads that pay the bills. I too subscribed when they had "Boatworks", and quite honestly subscribed to the magazine because of it. With my 30 year old boat, there are always projects that I can grab a tidbit of knowledge from.
Good Old Boat, is an awesome magazine, and truly a better fit with me and my demographic. Yes, it's a bit pricey. But like someone said in one of the previous posts, if you put one piece of information that they offer to use, you have paid for your subscription in spades. Plus, they are great to hand to a buddy at a marina that has a project that has them scratching their heads.
