I Finally Got Mine Too!

My issue came in yesterday wrapped in plastic with an apology letter from the publisher. He apologized that there were printing problems and that they were responsible. He took the blame and promised that they would straighten themselves out. I hope you all recieve your copies too (with the explanation!).

Me too

Mine arrived today, plastic bag, letter of explanation, no hat. I had heard it contained an article on sailing simulation software, but that seems to have been a false rumour. I'm glad to see Sail made good on their subscriptions.

The Plot Thickens

Todays mail contained a second February issue of Sail in a plastic bag, no hat this time. The bag also contained another letter from Josh Adams, however this letter offered a different excuse than the first one. This time my issue was mistakenly held up at the printer. I hope every subscriber is getting their missing Feb issue, I feel bad that I now have two, and two different excuse letters.

Well, I will continue to hold my breath too...

Now I will have to keep a monitor on the mailbox. I had all but given up on the February issue. I am a commercial printer, and can't imagine what would have been the hold up. It is possible that they came up short on press, that is a nightmare, I can attest to that. Ross in Tampa

mine was waiting for me when I got home...

Thank you Sail for the belated February issue. It has arrived safely and I have begun to enjoy it. Does this mean that my subscription has not been extended one month??? Just kidding, but, I would wear a hat, hint hint.

2 issues

Just got in from a 10-day vacation and the mailman pulled up the same time I did. Had both the February and March issue in his hand ready for me. Haven't had time to look at either one, yet.

I guess its over between me and Sail

When I read this initial post, I checked my stack of sailing magazines and noted that the last issue of Sail that I had received was October. I sent them an E-Mail expressing some disatisfaction that they had once again (this is not the first time)managed to forget to send me the magazines that I had paid for. I closed the E-Mail by stating "If you don't intend to honor your commitment please cancel my subscription and provide a refund." Within two days I received an E-Mail response that "We cancelled your subscription as you requested....". Last week I received my February issue, and in a separate mailing a check for my remaining subscription. I guess I have only one more (April) to look forward to. Such a pity... Based on all that I've read, and my own experience, it would appear that Sail has more customers than they need and is in the mode of offloading a few of us. It must be nice.

I demand my hat!

This is worse than the Gonzales scandal! It is worse than Watergate, or the Contras, or Whitewater, or Princess Di's mysterious death, or even Halliburton heading off to Dubai! I demand justice!! My February issue of Sail was late and my life lies in ruins. I want the hat! Anything less is an insult that only furthers the pain and anguish I have suffered.

Sailing instead of Sail

I got mine late with a note from Sail explaing that it had not been mailed, lost in the mailroom or something. Not to worry, In December I didn't renew the subscription, opted for the "new" Sailing magazine. Better content, not mostly about racing like Sail. Sailing and Latts and Atts are my top two mags now.

Feb Sail Magazine

Thanks to this thread we noticed we had received Jan and March but no Feb. We sent a email to sail@palmcoastd.com and cc'd sailmagazine.com. We received three email responses, first two from palmcoasted and one from sailmagazine.com "We apologize that you missed your February 2007 issue and for any inconvenience it may have caused. This issue is permanently out of stock; therefore, we have extended your subscription. Your subscription will now expire with the March 2009 issue. Sincerely, Rosalie Mittoo Customer Service" "We have received your recent inquiry and will process your request promptly. We are pleased to be of service to you. Sincerely, Subscriber Services Department SAIL" and from SAIL "Thanks for your note. I mailed you a copy of the February and March 2007 issues. Please let me know if troubles with your subscription. Best regards, David -- David Schmidt Associate Editor, SAIL Magazine 98 North Washington Street Boston, MA 02114" We received a FEB issue and a Feb and March issue from Mr.Scmidt and also in the Mail another Feb issue from Josh Adams Publisher, apologizing as the copy was held up at the printer. Overall I would rate the response from Sail Magazine as Excellent and Prompt.

Out of stock...

Maybe if they hadn't sent a bunch of us duplicate copies they wouldn't be out of stock.
