Better to take the sails to a loft, where they will send them to an industrial washer. Then they'll tidy up the loose ends and resew where the threads have deteriorated.Or you could go to Sail Care, where the laminateprocess makes them look like new. (But not new, ie. no improvement in sail performance -- just appearance.)
