Can I wash sails from a 27 ODay in commerical size washing machines without damage? What setting should I use and what kind of cleaning solution?

Better idea

Better to take the sails to a loft, where they will send them to an industrial washer. Then they'll tidy up the loose ends and resew where the threads have deteriorated.Or you could go to Sail Care, where the laminateprocess makes them look like new. (But not new, ie. no improvement in sail performance -- just appearance.)

Penny wise...

...and pound foolish. I take mine to a pro at the end of the season. Best $115.00 insurance policy there is. They wash, inspect, repair, flake, and bag.This is the difference between years of service and yeeeeeeeeaaaaaarrrrrssss of service.Just my two-cents (U.S.)Cheers,Bob
