Ordered from A company called Catalina Direct last month, they have a toll free number on their web site. www.catalinadirect.com.They sent me 80' for my C30. Rub rail plus shipping came to $135.00. Got it in about a week, very helpful people.
I used Catalina Direct and "upgraded" from the ugly (IMO) brownish rail to a fancy gray one. Its a rather grueling and unpleasant job. Both of my thumbs were completely blistered for a about two weeks afterward...Steve
I replaced the rub-rail on my C320 this past spring. I used a tool I purchased from Fawcett's in Annapolis. I think it is called a "caulking tool". It is like a fan-shaped putty knife. As I recalled, it cost about $15. I did the entire boat in about 2 hours and was amazed at how easy it made the job.Good luck!
Fred, can you tell me more about the "caulking tool" What type of store can I get one at.how big is it, any tricks to putting in the new rub rail. Thanks. Pat
you might try sanding the rubrail with 220 grit wet sand paper first. i did this to my cat 30 (beige rail with much much mildew) it made it look new and took about one hour. i use a piece of closed cell foam (the kind that camping sleep pads are made from so it would conform to the curve of the rubber rail.
