I'm planning to add a bimini to cover the cockpit on the Rose. Problem is, what's a good rig for the main sheets? Presently, I'm using CD's double ended main sheet set up but always handle the sheet from the mid boom position. What's s good alternative?

If you are adding a Bimini you will need to go to in front of Cabin entry or cabin top.

I'm planning on putting it just in front of the cabin entry and having it end about 12-16 inches before the stern rail.

Yes, with the end boom sheeting on a C22 you will have room to set up the bimini over the bulk of the cockpit and then adjust the mainsheet from the back. Should be able to see photos online for ideas or maybe there is something on Sailrite.

Go end boom. Set the main sheet from the boom's end to the transom and that will determine how far back you can install the bimini. The picture is from a Starwind 223 but the installation should be similar. The tiller got turned up at anchor and actually held by the mainsheet line. Sorry it is from the front angle but only picture I could find. Because of the tiller the "U" bolt to the transom is offset about 1" to Starboard but it makes no noticeable difference.
