Rigging Haylards,Boom vang.and travler blocks??????

i have new lines for all my haylards,boom vang, and travler blocks....now the question is ...what to use on the load end of each one ...keeping in mind i have 4 mast head shives that will accomidate 4 line...one for maine sail ..one spair on the aft side...one for the furler swivel and one spair on the foward side.....on the boom vang i have two fiddleblocks one with becket and cam cleat ....and one without...on the travler block i have one triple block and one double with a cam cleat on that one......do i just use a devided D shackel on the maine and a snap shackel on the spaire...on the jib furler bearing one do i use a snap shackel on that one and a snap skackel on the spaire.....as for the boom vang do i use a snap shackel on the boom end to hook to the bail and a screw shackel on the mast end....
as for the travler block do i use a snap shackel on the boom end and a snap shackel on the travel car end as well .....at this time i am not sure i will be useing a spinneker but am wondering if it would be wise to add something to the mast to accomadate the rigging later on and if so what would i use and where on the mast do i put that hardware.....

some one edgeamcate me lol plz ...all comments are welcome and will be taken under advisement for sure......i also have a loose footed sail for the maine meaning that it has no slides to attach to the boom other than front/cringle and rear/clue(i think that is correct terms) whitch means there has to be a way to tighten and loosen the foot.....

for halyards and as I'm sure you know they are sized by the pin diameter.
For the mainsheet and vang, snap shackles on each end would be nice but pricey. With the snap shackles you can stash these items rather than leave them out in the weather. You can do this with other shackles too but it's more work.

would you use D shackle only main or on all 4 haylards and what size pin would you recommend...its comeing in bits and pieaces ...i work in one area for a while and then go another direction...it will all come together when i have run out of corners to turn lol

You can get size information from the manufacturer's tag on the various pieces. Of course, the D shackle has to be deep and wide enough to accomodate the mainsail headboard and the jib head. Buy a couple of sizes, leave the tags on, try them on the sails and then return the ones that don't fit for those that do.

I agree with Joe on sizing. The 1/4" pin size would be very strong but may not have the depth needed for your headboard. I replaced this huge bronze old style shackle on my Morgan with a 3/16" pin size and it works fine for me. The depth (pin to pin) is about 1- 1/2" on this one and I have about 1/2" gap.
See I still have the old wire to rope halyards? They're still good so I'm not in a hurry to changer them out.
My jib halyard has a snap shackle.
