Hello all. I'm planning to look at a Pearson Flyer for sale that needs the prop strut replaced. I haven't asked any questions about this yet as to why it needs replacing such as the electrolysis failing, but I have done a bit of research on how to replace. It seems like there's a lot of glass that would need to be removed to get to the bolts and a lot of labor hours, if one was to ask the boatyard to do it. Anyone know what something like this might cost - in a ballpark range? It seems like with some patience, much of this I could do myself. Is this reasonable to assume?
I have many more questions, but I'll wait till I have more info on the boat. I've seen it from the outside and it looks pretty decent so far. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks!
