Replacing Ports - H34

Has anyone tried replacing ports in a Hunter 34. I have a 1986 H34, and I am considering replacing the Gray Marine ports with Rain Drain Ports from Beckson. I am curious to see if anyone has already tried this.

I have changed mine to Beckson ports. The only real issue is that the drains are in different locations. You will have to fill the existing drains and cut out for the Beckson drain locations. I think it is worth the effort. The Beckson are much nicer.

Yep I replaced the old plastic ports for Bomar aluminum. They were slightly bigger so had to re-size the holes with jigsaw and either metal or carbide blade (neither work really well because of the wood/fiberglass mix, but it eventually does the job)

And then I also found that, to my aesthetic taste, the boat had too much ports and removed the forwards ones and rebuild the deck in those place... not the most useful job onboard but well, I like it now;P

We offer both the Gray Enterprise ports and Beckson, the cut-out sizes are the same for the 512 and 414 sizes that are on your boat, but the mounting holes and drain holes won't line up.

Epoxy in the tubes for a caulk gun works great.
