Works best with sail removed
http://home.att.net/~dragonflyb331/I've removed mine on Dragonfly -- a 2003 B331. I first removed the sail, tied a light line to the bottom sail shackle, then pulled the in-haul line all the way out. This wound the line around the sail foil in the mast allowing me to easily wind the in-haul line back in after replacing it.Next, I removed the light aluminum strip on the port side. It had two machine screws holding it in place.I removed the two bolts at the bottom of the drum and only loosened the two at the top of the drum.I used a big screw driver to pry the bottom of the drum out from the mast. From there, I could reach the knot in the in-haul line with a pair of needle nose pliers. I pulled it out, cut off the knot, removed the old line, put in the new, tied a knot, and reversed the process. It took about 4 hours the fist time I did it...less than 30 minutes last spring. We replaced it before putting the sail on.Good luck.Feel free to contact me offline if you have questions.Mark
