The ports should be Bomar's. Go to pompanette.com/bomar. Good luck and good sailing, Ron

The 87 through 92 P36-2's have Lewmar ports. The 86 had Bomar. Select Plastics have the parts to rebuild the Lewmars. You said that your P-36 is a 88 so it should have Lewmar. My 87 P36-2 is a 87 and has Lewmar.

The fixed port is the old standard Lewmar with a pointed end at the forward lower end. In 88 Lewmar changed to a new frame with a rounded forward lower end.

There are four areas that can leak on the Lewmars. They are, in order of most common leak:

1. The O ring under the latch lever. You can get the metric O rings from Select plastics and replace them yourself. Just pry out the black plastic plug in the end of the lever and unscrew the lever. The O ring is in the lever.

2. The port gasket. The gasket and the adhesive is avaliable from Select Plastics. You can replace them yourself.

3. The ruber gaskets at the connections between the top and bottom of the frame. Select Plastics can replace them but you must send the entire port to them for a rebuild.

4. The seal between the frame and cabin. Reed the Select Plastics blog about how to properly do this.

Good luck,

Dave
