Replacement water pump for 27' Hunter

I have a 1979 Cherubini Hunter with an RC8D Renault engine.
The water pump is frozen/rusted. So I took it apart cleaned it as best as I could, let it soak in oil for a week then reassembled it, hooked up the hoses into a bucket of water, then attached the shaft to my drill press, turned it on and it pumped water.

Frankly though I'm not very confident about it.

So, does anyone know of a replacement sea water pump for this engine.

I really don't want to deal with Renault Marine Couach in England. I'm just hoping someone knows of a part I could find in the USA that would fit a small 8 hp engine like mine. I can create a new mounting plate for it.

I was thinking maybe a Yanmar part or something like that.

Anyone have any ideas?

Only game in town?

If I remember the last discussion, Renault Marine Couach is the only supplier left.

Don't know of anyone who could have made the conversion but you may try looking at the water pump used by the Yanmar 2gm20F to see if it could be adapted. You will likely have to fabricate a new mounting plate. The benefits from using the Yanmar pump would be the good accessibility of getting replacement and maintenance parts for it.

Get in touch with Depco Pump in FL. www.depcopump.com, call them, on the telephone, don't bother with email, they have great folks there. If anyone would know, it'd be them. Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up you guys. I'll check out Depco and consider the Yanmar 2 GM.

It'll be a while before I can follow up on this, but will post the results of my quest here.
