Looks like a decent material to use, it is a bit heavy as you point out. But your sink is not too far off the centerline of your boat. I don't think the weight would be a problem.

It looks great.
Only consideration is that a single sink will hold more water to slosh about than the smaller rein sinks. This may become an issue in a choppy sea state.
If you’re ok with this, go for it. It has a nice look. Will be able to hold multiple dishes.

I find a large single bowl more useful than two small bowls. Black looks cool, but it’s a strong visual statement, and having owned a jet black car once, I’ld have some practical concerns about keeping it looking clean. Gray or white might be easier to live with.

I like the idea but I also like the double sink. In my opinion it works well. One side for a drain board, the other side for washing.
I'd go with the grey over the black.

PS, can you cover it with a towel and when we visit? If Debbie see's it she'll want one.

The small basins make it difficult to wash dishes and pans. I have never had water in the basin when sailing so I think that is a non-issue. Besides, I think that it's a mistake to over-consider life at sea when by far the majority of time is spent at rest on anchor or marina.

Gray may be the safest color, but it doesn't look like the black is too black. I still tend to favor it. I might have to see the colors before purchasing.

The only question mark right now is the dimension from front to back. My current sink is 16-3/4" and this one says 22". I don't know for sure if there is the extra 5-1/4" between the fiddles. It looks like it just might fit. The fixture looks slightly off center. The drain location will be slightly more convenient for space underneath. The length & depth is identical to what I have now.

Time to check dimensions. Confirm clearance below the counter for the mounting hardware too.

I like the double on my PDQ. Fitted with a tiny drainer for silverware and used for rinsing and drying, it was very convenient in the absence of a dishwasher. I grew up with a double sink and no dishwasher, so the rhythm is familiar. I'm thinking people have forgotten how double sinks work. Think of it as a drying rack that stuff can't fall out of.

The nice thing about stainless is that you won't break things when you drop them. I wouldn't want a hard sink on a boat. Yes, SS gets some dings, but I always figured a sink was like the sole of a shoe; it's going to get some wear, no problem. Did I mention I dislike hard sinks that can chip stuff?

Love my old original double on the H-34. Works when heeled on either tack. I have seawater plumbed to the little outlet at center. IMG_0101.JPG

Go with the black. You will hate the grey for being wishy-washy and dull, and the white will look awful against all of your current off-white.
