Hi All,
I'm looking to replace my hatch seals which are very worn out and am looking for some advice about what to get. There is a huge selection of different rubber available and I've no idea which is best. I'd like to have whatever offers the best seal (I'm on a mud berth right now and water will pool in the cockpit when on the mud). Also it probably needs to be quite thick and a bit compressible as currently with the perished seals there is no pressure at all when closing the latchs which are in fact quite loose.
The two places I've found over the internet which sell hatch rubber are Portmere rubber (Home) and Bridge rubber and plastics (http://www.bridgerubber.co.uk). Has anyone here used them and have any thoughts or know of any other places?
Thanks,
Jan
