Replace impeller and engine zinc

Before I modified my water pump as per Art Boas, it ONLY took me 2 hours to change the impeller. That was at the dock with the A/C blasting to help keep the sweat running into my eyes. I now expect it to take 10 minutes or less. See photo below, what a difference!
I use Long Reach Hose Grip Pliers, 37909 from Harbor Freight, $14.99 to pull impeller. Works well.

The broken off vanes also tend to end up in the hose from the pump to the heat exchanger.

Knowing how to change an impeller is like changing a tire on a car. Everyone needs to know how to do it. The only tricky part of the zinc, is that some pencil zincs need to be cut down to the proper length. Other than that unscrew it and screw in the new one without teflon tape.
