Replace 30AMP Main breaker

I have a 1989 Hunter Vision 32 and I feel I need to replace the main 30 amp breaker Alll of the off the shelf breakers for this capacity seem to be double pole My issue is that I have two 30 amp breakers inside my panel .One has a throw switch and the other one does not They appear to be cross wired I would really appreciate any information o r advice on this isssue

If I replace with a double pole breaker I will have to drill a hole for the switch and two for the bottom breaker My unit appears to be one solid unit with two breakers and one throw switch Totally confused Help needed

Call Hunter

Hunter should be able to tell you the name of the panel maker. If they are still in business, they should help. If not, I'd pay to have an electrician look at it before buggering up the panel.

Blue Seas is good but I would also call Ancor. That is a very strange breaker. So one single throw switch turns on/off or resets two breakers?

You want to control both the hot and neutral wires but not the ground. You can either get two breakers and connect the switches with a plastic piece that goes throught he switch tip hole or buy a breaker that only has a single switch but actually trips two independant breakers. Sounds like you want the former.
In houses you do not typicaly control the neutral wire with a breaker just the hot. Perhaps that is some of the confusion.
