I have a JY 14 (= Hunter 140) and it gets hairline cracks in the deck and cockpit. It's the Luran/ ACP plastic. For years I've be repairing by cutting widening the crack and putting in Plexus / Devcon Plastic Welder. Now I want to try a different stuff.
Would 3M 5200 work in the cracks? Apparently it's not guaranteed to bond strong to that plastic, but it sticks where it was used for sealing fittings.
Or is there another glue/epoxy i could use. I want to get away from the Plastic Welder.
