Repairing cracks in deck

JY 14 Lake Ray Roberts
I have a JY 14 (= Hunter 140) and it gets hairline cracks in the deck and cockpit. It's the Luran/ ACP plastic. For years I've be repairing by cutting widening the crack and putting in Plexus / Devcon Plastic Welder. Now I want to try a different stuff.

Would 3M 5200 work in the cracks? Apparently it's not guaranteed to bond strong to that plastic, but it sticks where it was used for sealing fittings.

Or is there another glue/epoxy i could use. I want to get away from the Plastic Welder.

The answer is no to 5200 and epoxy as I use to be a former dealer. You have to use what you are doing to repair that boat. If you want feel free to contact me via forum. I introduced that boat for Hunter and may have been the largest dealer for it. Now retired
