Hello All. I need to have a couple of spots welded on my bow pulpit. One is at the base of a vertical leg. I'd like to take it in to a shop because it would likely be less expensive to do so, but I can't see how it's attached to the deck. The bases of all the legs are under the toe rail. Has anyone had experience with this?
Thanks.

On my 1978 H-27 each leg of the bow pulpit had a bolt on the underside of the deck. The bolt was accessible from the fore peak in the v birth. If you have the same set up you'll see 4. large bolts with fender washers in the tip of the v birth near where the deck meets the hull. If you back the bolts out the pulpit should come right off. my H-30 has the same set up but the bolts are accessible from the anchor locker. When you put the pulpit back you'll have to renew the caulk. Probably brutal tape is best. .
Hope this helps

We have an 80 H27. The pulpit bolts are located in the anchor pit. Remove the nuts and the pulpit should lift off. Also, the wire to the bow light must be disconnected..

Great! Thanks for the info. I'll take a look and see next time I'm at the boat.
