I have noted other forum messages about leaks in the deck to hull seam in the stern area for the Hunter 260 when the boat is healed over or when it has a heavy load of passengers. I believe my 1999 Hunter 260 has this type of leak problem. The solution for stopping the leak was to remove the toerail in the stern area of the boat and inspect for cracks. My question concerns the removal of the toerail in the stern area of the boat. What is the proper method for removing the rubber part of the toerail to inspect for leaks? What is the proper method for reinstalling the rubber part of the toerail after completing the inspection? When inspecting the rubber part of the toerail, there does not appear to be an easy method of removing the rubber toerail. Thanks for any help.
