"Seems" to work
I used one of the Relief Bands with the replaceable battery last season when I singlehanded overnight across Lake Huron twice. I would have to say that it "seems" to work, in that while using it I never once felt the least bit gastrically aware. BUT, since I don't always have a problem, my experience is hardly a definitive test.A nice side effect of the device is that if you keep the power way up, the thing sort of gets painful, and it great at keeping you awake. No way you will fall asleep on watch with the band set to its highest level! Though after about 24 hours of this it does get irritating on your wrist, and it can be hard to keep it located directly over the right spot if you are active. But if you decide to get one, be sure to keep spare batteries around, as it can be easy to forget to turn it off.
