Reinstalling an Atomic 4 in a C27

We are getting ready to reinstall an Atomic 4 in our C27. The motor was out, being rebuilt, when we bought our boat. (The boat is now in the water.) I am mechanically inclined, but have never worked on an A-4, nor in such a confined space. I wasn't around when the motor was removed. I would be grateful to read all tips, suggestions, and advice that anyone can offer who has removed then reinstalled an Atomic 4 in a C27.

Check the archives on this site for Atomic 4 and you will have a lot of the info you need. For replacement you will need to determine your engine mount situation....check other boats with A-4's to see what they use....You will slide the engine into the compartment from the front....A 4X4 across the top of the hatch and chain and a hoist will help you....Hook up the battery and controls and fuel. Put some water into the engine...Hook up the exhaust and away you go...Don't forget to aline the engine coupling with the shaft coupling...Good luck..
