When installing or repositioning cleats, cam-cleats, etc., through fiberglass combings, what material do you use as backing plates for reinforcement? Aluminum, maybe? I'm replacing the mainsheet cam-cleat on my old O'Day 23 and want to make sure I do it right! I've noticed that where I do have reinforcement, it's usually some sort of composite wood material, which I'm not real comfortable with. I may end up replacing all the backing plates I can get to!
