This winter I am planning to add roller furling to my Cat30. I am investigating all options. One option is a unit called "Superfurl" made in Fullerton, Ca. Has a reasonable price and sounds interesting. Anyone out there with some experience or knowledge of this system?? Sad to say I am trying to keep cost to a minimum. Stuff like Harken and the other "expensive" alternatives are out of the question. Cruising Design has a unit (FF7 ??) that sounds like it may be an alternative also. Can't speak from experience regarding a CDI FF6 or FF7. Can speak from experience from having an FF2. There is a reason that CDI can claim that almost 100% of owners would buy again. They are good solid pieces of equipment, not overpriced, with an incredible lifetime guarantee. We have gone from a Capri 22 with a CDI FF2 to a C27 and are trying to decide what to get in the way of a roller furler. Right now it is narrowed down to either a CDI FF6 or a Plastimo 810T. The attraction of the Plastimo is the twin groove that permits flying twin headsails rather than a spinnaker. Absent that consideration, the clear choice for me is the CDI.George

I Put aCDI on in July works great.For a 89 C30 it takes a 8/9 roller some 30s can use the 7 .It hasto do with the frount stay and the turn buckel. It cost about1800 to get the job done but they replaced four of the upper stays since they where hanging around up there
