RAYMARINE or SIMRAD Autopilot ?

Would like to get some feed back on the RAYMARINE ST4000 MK2 or Simrad WP10? Has anyone ever worked with both? And which one gives off the least amount of noise? Thanks, JOHN

I have the Simrad WP 30. Great unit! Both Simrad and Raymarine are noisy.

I have had both on a Cat 30 MkIII. The simrad picked up Electrical Magnetic Interference and steered in circles without warning. I then purchased a ST4000+. The Simrad was faster and more noisy then Raymarine. Steve

Better Sail Trim = Less Noise

John, I have the Raymarine MKII. It makes a little noise but the better trimmed the boat is, the less the autopilot has to work. I don't think the noise is a factor though. I'd go with the most reliable unit...... Regards, Frank Davanzo
