Can anyone tell me who manufactered Ray Johnson gauges? I cannot find any info on the net. I have a knotmeter and a wind gauge, but cannot find any information about them.

That's what I thought. Any idea if their wind gauge would work with some other anemometer?
I just went out and tried it now...worked fine...
I don't if it's calibrated, (I just spun the shaft) and I imagine cup size/rod length plays into that..as well as adjustment on back of gauge.
It's a different make than the one I posted a pic of in my search thread, so that leads me to believe most any older two wire analog sending unit you find should work...

I'll look later this morning...I have the knot meter (speed) as well as knot log (distance)..
I thought they were both a cable with fixed ends on them (I know the log is) but, I'll look at the back of the Meter...
I do know the knot meter works "without" power as it was functioning when I had a dead battery bank... (dead/dead disconnected)

Looks like my knot meter still has cable with fixed ends, so not gonna be able to help with wires...
What if you just opened the back of unit and see where stubs of wire lead to..? (I assume they are cut short..?)
Otherwise the only open terminal three wire I have is my wind direction finder...
Do either of these look familer...?

not really. I goofed and cut off the transucer wire. It's a coaxial with a banana plug. It's the only plug leading to the Knotmeter. I have a "+" and "-" connectors, but I think these are just for lightning. The old transducer is a throughhull job without a paddle wheel (that's probably why it doesn't work). The paddlewheel attached to transom has 3 wires and is not connected to anything. It looks like the PO tried to somehow splice that wheel to the original through hull transducer. So, I'll either look for an old Ray Jefferson transducer, buy a whole new unit, or simply get a stick knotmeter and/or cheap GPS.
Oh, BTW, thanks for the response. I found your thread about anemometer. I finally gave up my search, cut off the wire, and decided to do without...
