Take some measurements of things like width from rail to rail at various spots before you start any disassembly. With my dhow once I started taking the rails off the hull wanted to fall open quite a bit. Straps helped hold it together, but it was good to have the measurements to know how tight to make them.

That book is great. Also the videos from Andy at Boatworks Today on his own YouTube channel and on the TotalBoat channel are very good for the fiberglass work.

Lay a piece of 1/4" ply or Luan over the top and trace the outline. You can use this as a jig later on if needed or just to get your measurements
