Looking to sail along the Mississippi Gulf Coast this year. Looking for information on boat ramps that will allow "easy" access in/out. Have Catalina 25 with a wing keel which drafts 3 feet. Don't have trailer extension and not wanting to use cargo straps. Have tried calling several of the harbors/marinas but they act like they don't know or haven't seen many sailboats launching from ramps (may just be the folks answsering the phones). Anyway, any experience/knowledge in this area is much appreciated.

Gulfport and Long Beach were good when I was out there but that was a little more than twenty years ago

Just remembered the one in D'Iberville under the I-110 bridge was one of the best if you are looking for a steeper ramp.

The ramp at the Biloxi Smallcraft Harbor had a lift not sure if that is the case now

If your trailer is not galvanized it is a real bad idea to put it into salt or brackish water. Unless you are planning on getting a new one soon anyway.

I suggest getting an extension for that boat trailer unless you want to get your tow vehicle deep in water. I was a former Catalina dealer and introduced the Catalina 25 wing keel when trailer launching
