Dear Y25 owners, I’ve a new question/problem that need some help.
Probably all of us have the same problem if we live in a place with rain!
Every time after rain my boat accumulates water in the boat sides of the hull.
See the pictures for reference.
The problem is, if I’m in the marina I can just clean it or dry it with a cloth. However, if it rains and I don’t go to the boat, it will dry and looks like a mess.
I though on doing some draining holes but doesn’t seem very easy to do in that place because its too tick and not near the exterior of the hull.

Does anyone addressed this problem before and found any solutions?

Thank you

g5665, It's a common problem with many boats. Here is a solution that boats with perforated toe rails use that works very well. You may be able to adapt this solution to your boat. Take a large sponge and cut a piece of it approximately 8" long by 4" wide by 2" thick. Cut a slit in this piece so that you have nearly cut it in half lengthwise. The slit should stop about 1-2" shy of the end. Place one leg of the sponge through one hole of the toe rail and the other through the adjacent hole with the ends of the sponge facing outboard and the connecting portion resting on the deck. This sponge should be placed at the deepest area where water accumulates. The part resting on the deck will wick up the water on the deck and it will either quickly evaporate or drip over the side of the boat. You may be able to rig some sort of a sponge on your boat that will perform the same function.

My boat has four holes carefully drilled through below the toe rail. there is usually still a bit of water left toward the stern. I experimented with Ted's suggestion. Took one of those high aborbent cloths (sham wow) and stuck it through the toe rail. Looks tacky but worked great ! I'm sure it can be cleaned up a bit to look better.
