Pump Faucet in Head Leaks When Heeled

Hi All, I own an '84 C30 TRBS w/ fresh water foot pump in the galley and a hand pump faucet in the head. When we are heeled over on a starboard tack the faucet in the head starts to leak fresh water. Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, did you find a solution? To top it off, even though the sink drain hose valve is open, the sink does not drain while heeled, only when we are resonably upright. Also, do other C30's head sink drain hose connect to the raw water intake hose for the head ( a tee connection into a through hull)? Thanks in advance, Jack

My head faucet is pressurized by the electric pump and yes the drain hose from the sink is interconnected with the seawater intake to the head. I have a tall rig as you do but what is a TRBS?

Sink Drain to Head

It's done that way, either by the factory or the PO, so that you don't use saltwater into the head for either all or just the final flush. It keeps that dreaded first flush smell away. Just check out the Head Forum on this 'site. As far as the leaking valve, try disassembling it and checking the gaskets. Stu

TRBS

It stands for Tall Rig Bow Sprit. There's an extra 3' or so of wood attached to the bow where the roller furler is mounted. It allows for a slightly larger genoa. I'm using a 130% genoa. Jack
