Propshaft thru hull
For the life of me I cannot find the part I'm looking for online - I believe I'm not calling the part the proper name. Where the prop shaft exits the boat I have a bronze flanged thru hull that contains the cutlass bearing that is bolted to the outside of the hull and has an 8" or so piece that goes into the boat.

The 8" peace that goes into the boat is where the packing gland or drip less seal attaches to. It has corroded and has broken away from the prop shaft thru-hull and has already been brazed once.

I would like the replace this piece but I cannot find one online. It's for a 1 1/4" shaft on a 48' sailboat.

Prop thru hull 1 is a picture looking down at the cutlass bearing and the flange that is bolted to the hull, there is no 8" tube

Prop thru hull 5 is a picture of the piece on its side, it bolts to the back of the fin keel - more or less. there is supposed to be a 8" or so tube attached to it that goes through the hole and allows the PSS or standard packing gland/stuffing box to be attached.

Though yours might be a 'special' or from only one manufacturer.

Kinda looks like a "special" but a good shop can make a new one pretty easily.. The flange and bearing holder look pretty good so brazing a new bronze tube on it may be the right answer.
edit.. Ya got it Ross .. That is a Buck Algonquin product.. So the tube part must be separate...??

shaft tube is separate and can be specially made. there are 2, 3 , and 4 bolt shaft logs. you are most fortunate to have a short shaft tube--mine is 31+inches in length between hull and packing gland. if buck algonquin doesnt have the exact part, have one made.
