Actually, its only a 92.3%, not nearly as bad.I know we have nearly 3% inflation but i just paid 100% price hike for my annual mooring fee, absolutely ridicules.
Its jumped from $26 all the way up to a horrendous $50.
Never thought of it like that. Mine is about $5.06 a day for a 6 month slip rental. Boat is usually in the water about 5 1/2 months each year, so really about $5.50 a day. I'm not complaining!$50 a year?
That's about 2.5 days for me.
Yes, $6,841 a year in slip fees for a 30 footer.
Of course, that's better than Newport Beach, where a 30 foot slip is about $15,000 a year.
Politics. Maine likes to think they are taxing the rich. Is there an exemption for lobster boats?I know we have nearly 3% inflation but i just paid 100% price hike for my annual mooring fee, absolutely ridicules.

This is for Annapolis MD.Once a private annual mooring buoy becomes available in the according wait-list location, the annual application fee is $50. The fee for the Annual Mooring Permit: residents, the annual cost is $1,000; non-residents, the annual cost is $1,800. For commercial use, the annual cost is$1,950.
Lobstermen get it cheaper but out of town moorings cost $250Politics. Maine likes to think they are taxing the rich. Is there an exemption for lobster boats?
I just paid 500% more for mine because we’re out of town.Lobstermen get it cheaper but out of town moorings cost $250
$4,000.00 per year? 36 ft boat at a dock? 36 ft boat stored on the hard? In NY? Insurance for 36 ft Sabre? No offense, but did you drop a decimal point somewhere Dave? While I don't calculate to the penny the cost of boat ownership, I do have a rough idea of what it costs. Basic annual expenses: winter storage, summer dockage, and insurance runs about $4K a year.
Nope. Not NY or LI Sound. Lake Ontario in a small town 50 miles N of Syracuse, 70 mile east of Rochester. Rochester is more expensive, Sacketts Harbor further north is more expensive. Small marinas along the South shore are quite reasonable. Insurance is just under $900, Summer dockage at a fixed dock is just under $2K. Winter storage and mast stepping and unstepping is ~$1.1 K.$4,000.00 per year? 36 ft boat at a dock? 36 ft boat stored on the hard? In NY? Insurance for 36 ft Sabre?
