I am re-doing a 77' H25. The current project is repainting the deck. In an effort to do a good job I tired to remove the portlights in order to reseal and get a nicer paint job. Well, as the saying goes "no good deed goes unpunnished" I chipped two of the exterior rings - 2 lights now have a 2-3" "chip" missing on the exterior ring. The bad part is I am BROKE and between jobs and my wife is ready to freeze my account and....bla bla bla. I CAN NOT afford new matching windows - there are 6 total - at a conservative $100 each I'm looking at $600 - nope! I read a post in the archives about a user who cut new super tough tinted "plexiglass" larger than the opening and affixed the windows to the exterior of the cabin - he said it looks great - I figure I could somehow snazz-up the inside area where the core would be visable - and I do have the inner rings which are in good shape which may cover this area.Any opinions on doing this or repairing the chipped outer rings? Thanks!!
