Hey fellow sailors. Some were curious how the 'hair product' would turn out. I left it on for many hours in the sunlight. Not perfect, but improved. I took some pics. I tried to use the same lighting and background. The yellowing has faded some, but not entirely. I went ahead and reinstalled it after I got my new control cables installed. They work beautifully now. The shifter is no longer frozen. I was concerned because the throttle flopped around instead of staying put. I think it's because with the drag in the old cable, I had loosened the friction bolt all the way. Once I re-added some friction, the throttle worked great. Had me worried for a few minutes!
