OK, I obviously complained too much. I do agree with both of you. I have owned 2 other boats and seen many, and yes the 310 has a great engine access.

My question was that it seemed that Paul has removed the hinge and therefore never uses it. Have others done that. I find the cover difficult to move across the floor. Just wondering if there was an easy way to move the cover not using the hinge.

I got the impression that he removed the hinges because the screws were striped out. He then epoxied the screw holes, drilled new holes, and re-mounted the hinges. Got that right Paul? Mine need the same treatment.

Drilled out old screw holes with oversized bit, then epoxyed holes, then

drilled out holes for replacing old screws and then.............

Was just starting to cross Striagt of Georgia when this float plane landed and engine was not runing.

We motored over about 100 yards and ask him if we could be of any service to him..............

He said no..... and that he had just made a pre coutionary landing and some one was on the way to tow him in.... thanked us for

stopping.....noboby else had bothered to call or stop.
