Anyone have a Petter Diesel? I own a 1977 Catalina and she's got a Petter inboard Diesel that has 425 original hours on her. The previous owner gave me the original engine manual BUT it's not exactly the same setup as what lurkes inside the boats's belly. I've owned my boat for 3 months now and I still can't figure how to check the oil. There is a oil cap underneath a bracket that prevents it from being removed. Manual says this is where you check the oil..huh? It can't be that difficult...can it?
