Perkins 3 cylinder, 18 HP in C270

Considering purchase of a 1994 270. Any comments on the Perkins engine vs Yanmar. I've had a Yanmar 1GM that's now 20 years old and I have been very satisfied with it, and have no knowledge of the Perkins.

same engine no problems.

I have had the same boat (93le) with this engine and had no problems except 1 clogged fuel filter jackgallag@aol.com
