I just bought a 1973 Pearson 26 and have a lot of questions. This is my second sailboat, my first being a 21' Bucaneer.
One thing I have questions about are all the lines and blocks on the boom. I understand downhaul and outhaul, but there are others, also. The last owner obviously had no clue (I bought it from the marina where it is docked and didn't get to meet the owner.) and had everything jury rigged. The boom car is upside-down with no way to attach the main tack to the boom.

Anyway, I would lile to find someone reasonably close to see how theirs is rigged. Going to the boat later today to right the car and do some cleaning, so I'll get some photos to show what I mean about the boom.

Thanks,
Dan

Nevermind. As luck would have it, I met another sailor at the dock who used to own a Pearson 26. He explained the extra rigging.

BTW - He now has a beautiful Morgan 38. I offerd an even trade but for some reason he wouldn't go for it.
