That was not an attempt to relay "truth;" toxicity is much more complex than that, far too complex for a forum. For starters, acute human toxicy generally has to be estimated, due to a shortage of volunteers. I only intended to relate the order of magnitude. Yes, ppm is a misnomer, since it is mg/kg body mass, but that too is sort of a fine point.

Have you not been paying attention to your doctor’s nutritional advice! But this is why toxicology is only partially a numbers game - long before you could choke down a lethal 7 ounces of salt you could easily wash it down with enough ethylene glycol-tainted coolade to kill you in a long and lingering way. And who really wants to survive only to be on the kidney transplant list?
