Shakedpwon cruise is in the books. The weather was crappy and not much sailing got done, but we sure spent some time getting to know the boat. Day 1 started later than we wanted, with patchy fog. What wind we had was on the nose. We dis get some nice sailing in and the boat handles beautifully. We decided to spend the night in Milwaukee instead of pressing on to Port Washington. McKinley Marina in Milwaukee is awesome; clean secure, the staff was extremel;y freindly. A footbridge leads to a shopping district called Bardy Street. We found an awesome Mexican resteraunt.
Next day dawned clear and sunny, and while I was showering everything fogged over. We spent 9-1/2 hours cruising through the fog filled windless lake. Godd thing is we got lots of time to test and check out the engine. Varied engine speed from 2800 -3500 RPM, with most of the trip around 3400. No alarms or overheating. All told, despite the dampness and the fog, a very good trip.

Hey, I missed this one earlier. Sounds like you had a good trip back, but too bad not enough wind to sail. There will be lots of opportunity to get out and sail.

3400 is very close to WOT. You should be running around 2800 - 3000, which will give you 6 - 6.5 knots. WOT will take years off the life of the Yanmar, and will not give you much more speed.

Thanks for the tip. The nameplate said 3600 for constant duty, but we kept it mostly around 3200 or less. I did vary the RPM up and down so as not to hold one RPM too lng.

Owe you guys some pictures - red interior

I owe you guys some pictures of the interior. Haven't seen too many pics of the red and tan interior. McKinley Marina was a great stopover. The facility was clean, secure and close to shopping and resteraunts.

Nice boat Juice, and you are correct about the red interior. It really looks nice though. It was worth the wait. Was the red and tan a special order that caused the delay?

Fair winds.

I like the SS hand rail in front of the stove. We have the teak wood rail and its in the way of the controls. Somewhere on the todo list os cutting off the wood rail and installing SS.

One tip, place the hole in the board under the faucet, the tap tends to run out for some reason, at least on ours anyways.

I like the tan interior, ours in similar, gives a brighter feeling inside. Red looks good, ours is navy, but always covered in sheets and blankets etc.

I don't tthink so?

The cushions had to be made and they shipped the boat before they were done. They actually shipped the cushions on a trailer with some daysailers. According to the dealer, they aren't stocking as much fabrics and things because of the slow economy. I do not know if they had blue cushions on hand. I do know that we didn't like the new blue fabric pattern. It was the sama as the one used on Hunter's website for the E-36.
