Shakedpwon cruise is in the books. The weather was crappy and not much sailing got done, but we sure spent some time getting to know the boat. Day 1 started later than we wanted, with patchy fog. What wind we had was on the nose. We dis get some nice sailing in and the boat handles beautifully. We decided to spend the night in Milwaukee instead of pressing on to Port Washington. McKinley Marina in Milwaukee is awesome; clean secure, the staff was extremel;y freindly. A footbridge leads to a shopping district called Bardy Street. We found an awesome Mexican resteraunt.
Next day dawned clear and sunny, and while I was showering everything fogged over. We spent 9-1/2 hours cruising through the fog filled windless lake. Godd thing is we got lots of time to test and check out the engine. Varied engine speed from 2800 -3500 RPM, with most of the trip around 3400. No alarms or overheating. All told, despite the dampness and the fog, a very good trip.
