Packing Gland Material

Does anyone with a 1977 Cat 30 know which thickness of packing gland material I need? Is teflon better than flax or should I stick to basics?

I use 3/16 packing. The teflon is the best. I have my stuffing box adjusted so that it only sweats out, and the stuffing box is always cool to the touch.
