I was looking for a way to keep the outboard pointing straight ahead when steering with the tiller. A friend recommended making a crutch to hold it. I used a synthetic cutting board as the raw material (they are real cheap at Ikea). It's easy to work with and should weather well. I cut it to a rectangular shape of the proper size and then made a cutout to fit the handle of the outboard. The piece was then secured with two screws to the aft wall of the outboard well. Just lower the handle into place and the outboard stays put.Ron Mehringers/v Hydro-Therapy
