Pulled out the 170 for the year, sad to put it to bed for the winter, but opportunities to get up to the cottage come few and far between this time of year. The leaves are already starting to change up there (northern lower pennisula of Michigan), but this w/e was beautiful! I will still get in a few sails at the local sailing club (interlake 18's). I leave the boat in all season. Last year when I pulled it out, there was just a little green scum on the bottom which was easy to wash off. This year there were about 700 or so zebra mussels stuck to the bottom. Fortunately, they were not too hard to remove - guess I need to take a look at that bottom more often! I am thinking of waxing it before I cover her for the winter. Is it better to wax in the fall or spring? Also, any ideas for storage? I am thinking of getting some rubbermaid type storage boxes to put up in the bow. What have some of you tried?
