The guy to took all of the non-USCG pics is a friend of mine who has retired in the area and spends his days fishing for Lake Trout in these waters on his 38 foot trawler. He hates the notion of that boat breaking up a scattering shards of fiberglass everywhere. He has formally asked the USCG for permission to dismantle (AKA chainsaw) it and take it away on a barge.Yes a beautiful sailing area. The perils of getting caught on a Lee Shore are punishing. Sure glad he made it safely home. Sad he had to abandon his boat.
