Just need to be pointed in the right direction.....

Have a Universal M25xpb with the sump drain kit. Because of location, gravity won't work so I planned on getting a manual or auto pump to change the oil next week. Manual stated that the hose end is 1/4" NPT and looking on the normal websites I cannot find a pump that has the female connection on the hose and most of them have dipstick probes anyway.

If anyone uses their sump drain hose to empty the oil via a pump, can you give me the manufaturer/model of the pump and maybe the supplier.

Thanks!

I'm not so worried about the fitting, as I'm sure I can get a reducerr that would work, just looking for the proper pump.

I also use a Handy Boy. Easy to take apart and clean-up. I use a one gallon empty plastic milk jug to catch the old oil.

I use that same pump on my C310. I use the oil did stick whole. This year I might use the oil drain by attaching a small dia hose barb (brass fittings available at hd or lowes) to the mpt. You could probably do the same with a drill pump and some tubing.

Fair winds.

Guess that's what I'm going with then! I'll just get the fittings to use with the sump drain hose on the engine.

Thanks guys.

I also use the Moeller fluid extractor, even on the genset which has a oil sump drain hose. The extractor is the complete package - hose, extractor pump, holding tank, discharge port. I put the extractor into a 5 gal. bucket with a sheet of oil absorber in the bottom. Secondary containment. When I'm done removing the oil the hose goes into the bucket with the extractor and any cleanup rags, gloves, and spent filters. Everything in neat package for transit to the oil recycling depot.

I refuse to hand pump iol that I can pump with battery power. I have been using a small hand held 12 volt pump that came with my Hunter 33 15 years ago. I have seen the same pump at J. C. Whitney. About $25.00 then. Clip wires, tube into oil outlet, tube into old 2 liter soda bottle. flip switch, wait 1.5 minutes. Worst part is kneeling by engine. Simple. And my town likes to recieve drain oil in old plastic bottles. Double recycling.

Even though I didn't win a half-billion dollars last night I still feel rich......Minion at Work!

A friend let me try his Marpac and it worked like a dream! $5 in a fabricated hose, some couplings and hose clamps!
