Oday factory mast raising system.

I was looking at my info. packet that came with the boat in 1977. Oday made a system to raise the mast using the boom. I cannot read all the info since the copy is not real clear especially the diagrams. There is some kind of metal triangular piece that may attach to the chain plate? My boys are off in the service to our nation, so I will have to raise it with little help this year. Anybody have info on this system?

The factory system is installed on my boat and it is so easy to raise the mast I prefer doing it alone. The gin pole is the boom and you use the mainsheet block and tackle to raise it. The only thing to change is have a long enough mainsheet to raise and lower the mast. I just replaced my mainsheet and now use the old mainsheet and block and tackle as the raising system so the sailing mainsheet does not need so much line. It is a great system and one of the better features I've seen on trailerable boats.
