I just pulled my O'Day 23 out after spending a week in the water. (I keep the boat on a trailer.) I noticed some water dripping from the rudder as I was prepping the boat for the road. Does the rudder on this boat have a core that is susceptible to rot? Will I need to rebuild the rudder or will just sealing up the outside of it fix the problem?

Thanks for the info. I'll try contacting Rudy at D&R. (I have bought some parts from him in the past.) Maybe if he can tell me how much my rudder should weigh, I can determine how much water it has absorbed.
