I just bought an O'Day 20. The mast is from Al-Spar / Kerwin
I don't know if this is the original mast or not but it sits on a stainless steel
U shaped tabernacle on top of the deck. I know that the tabernacle is a replacement from the original mast step. Because of the way the bottom of the spar is it does not fit flush and the whole mast is tilted aft about 10 degrees. The only thing I know to do is to cut off about 1/2 inch off the bottom to make it flush. The bottom of the spar is curved so that is why it is tilted. Any other suggestions?
Thanks

Oday 20 Seneca Lake
i would call Rudy at D&R Marine and discuss it with him. He carries a ton of oday parts. the link shows mast items for the oday 20 which might help you. (my oday 20 is a 1974 and has a gold colored mast.)

note: if you cut the mast it could mess up the length of the stays so they may need to be shortened, or you may have to put a lift under the mast step. have you tried just adjusting the rake of the mast with the front and rear stays or is it too far off?
